We
at the Truths Project don't advocate
the use of physical violence towards any human being, at any time, for any
reason. We believe that there is almost always a peaceful alternative to violence
which is vastly more effective at achieving its stated goals.
Why
do we believe this? The Celestial Angels have repeatedly affirmed that this is
our Heavenly Father’s will for His children here on Earth. And while empathizing with the
practical impossibility, under present conditions, of completely honoring this principle, they steadfastly maintain that "peace on earth" is an ideal that humankind is capable of realizing.
Scripture
– considered so by Jews, Muslims and Christians – clearly
states : “Thou shalt not kill”
The
same Scriptures state with equal clarity the “Law of Love”: “Love thy
neighbor as thyself”
And
we affirm something learned in nursery school, which is no less true today:
“Two wrongs don’t make a right”
What
would Jesus do?
“…I say unto you which hear, Love
your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
Bless them that curse you, and pray
for them which despitefully use you.
And unto him that smite you on one
cheek, offer also the other; and him that take away your cloke, forbid not to
take your coat also.
…For if you love them which love you,
what thank have you? for sinners also love those that love them. And if you do
good to them which do good to you, what thank have you? for sinners also do the
same.
…But love your enemies, and do good,
and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and you
shall be the children of the Highest: for He is kind unto the unthankful and to
the evil.
Be you therefore merciful, as your
Father also is merciful.
Judge not, and you shall not be judged:
condemn not, and you shall not be condemned: forgive, and you shall be
forgiven” Luke - 6:27
And
so we wave the flag of a different "nation" – the one to which we
all belong – in hopes that a remembrance of our common homeland – “One
world under God” – will help bring an end to the mutual madness known
as war.
